The Human Development Reports (HDR) from the UNDP are now freed from their pdfs. At the newly redesigned HDR site, you can find statistical data and their documentation, either in published table format or in animated graphics. You can also create your own tables for download. What I like best is the ability to browse by indicator. So, for example, when I was looking for the Gini index, I just went to the alphabetical list and there it was (actually, it wasn’t under ‘G’ but was a subheading of ‘Income Inequality Measures.’) You can also download by tables (as they appear in the report), which helps those who are used to organization of the annual publication. The biggest wow factor goes to the interactive map of HDI rankings, which takes you eventually to data by country.
